Dr. Wiwin Windupranata’s work covers hydrography, coastal disaster risk, and coastal and marine remote sensing. He is known for tsunami hazard and economic loss studies, especially the IOC-UNESCO “Tsunami Ready” programs in Pangandaran and Batukaras. His other work covers satellite-derived bathymetry, tidal modelling, geoid modelling for Java, and mangrove and coastal management. He also leads the professional training program for Category A Hydrographic Surveyors at ITB.
