Category A Hydrographic Surveyor is the highest level of international recognition awarded by the International Federation of Surveyors/International Hydrographic Organization/International Cartographic Association (FIG/IHO/ICA) Advisory Board. It provides a comprehensive and broad-based knowledge in all aspects of the theory and practice of hydrography and allied disciplines for individuals who will practise analytical reasoning, decision making and development of solutions to non-routine problems.
In Hydrography ITB, we offer two paths on obtaining the Category A Hydrographic Surveyor Certification, which are:
Through ITB’s Engineering Profession Program, or Program Studi Profesi Insinyur (PS PPI). By the end of this program, students will achieve Category A Certification and the title of ‘Insinyur’ (Ir.) from Persatuan Insinyur Indonesia (PII).
Through a bundling program with Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering Master’s Degree. By the end of this program, students will achieve Category A Certification and the title of ‘Master of Science’ (M.Sc.) from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB).
